Download the current code from: https://github.com/gtn/exacomp or Moodle.org.

Copy the exacomp folder into the /blocks directory of the Moodle installation or install under Site administration > Plugins via the Moodle user interface.

Log in as admin and start the installation process.

At this point, the configuration for the administrator is complete and the trainers can use the block in their courses.

The block can be activated anywhere in Moodle. It is usually activated within courses in order to use competence grids for short periods. The administrator makes basic settings. Trainers can make course-specific settings.

Basic settings for the module can be adjusted under Website administration/Plugins/Blocks/Exabis competence grid.
