Competence Grid Layout
The Comet Competence Grid is essentially a table where
- the columns represent levels of difficulty (taxonomy), and
- the rows represent competence areas (topics).
Within this framework, individual competences can be defined, along with sub-competences that belong to a particular competence.
Additionally, supporting materials—such as images, PDF files, and links—can be attached to each competence.

Subcompetences
By using digital competence grids for learning processes in general it is possible to work more granularly: depending on the level of performance of a student, additional materials can be provided through subcompetences to gradually acquire a competence step-by-step

Using the app Dakora+ (which needs this structure) learning plans can be developed by the trainer and the student providing materials for each student individually in a weekly format. This can be considered as a key element for individualized learning scenarios.
