Course structure & competency grid

Provide learners with a clear structure for the course and the learning process.

In order for learners to learn actively and purposefully, learning objectives, assessment criteria, and the path to achieving them must be transparent from the outset. Only then will they (and their parents or guardians) know where they stand, what is still missing, and how they can achieve their goals. This provides orientation, strengthens personal responsibility, and promotes a supportive learning environment.

Dakora+ plans to use predefined digital competency grids for all courses. These clearly show which competencies are to be achieved in the course of an educational career. They serve as a planning, reflection, and assessment tool for both learners and teachers. These grids are created and managed using the online tool KOMET, which enables simple, collaborative organization of competencies and materials.  Further information on COMET can be found in the COMET documentation.

The digital competency grids thus form the basis for the assignment of tasks. As soon as a task is opened, the associated competencies become visible. Learners can thus directly see which skills they will develop by working on the task or with the material. This connection makes the purpose and relevance of each task clear: it is not about learning isolated content, but about strengthening specific competencies.
